How to use Workout Lens
Grant Health access
On first launch, Workout Lens will ask for permission to read your Apple Health data. Tap Allow and select the data types you want to share with the App. You can always change these permissions later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Workout Lens.
Browse your workouts
Your workouts are loaded automatically from Apple Health. Use the type filters at the top (Running, Cycling, Strength Training, etc.) to narrow the list. Tap any workout to view its details: GPS route, heart rate graph, splits, and more.
Select & export
Tap Select to enter selection mode. Choose one or multiple workouts, tap Export. The iOS Share Sheet will appear — send the file to ChatGPT, Claude, your Files app, or anywhere else.
Configure the App
Go to Settings (bottom tab) to adjust the maximum number of workouts to load, switch the export format default, or check your Health access status. The App language follows your iPhone's system language automatically.
What you need
Frequently asked questions
The most common cause is a missing or partial HealthKit permission. Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Workout Lens and make sure the relevant data types are enabled.
You can also check your access status inside the App under Settings → Health data. If access is missing or partial, tap Request access to prompt the permission dialog again.
GPS and heart rate data are only exported if your workout source recorded them. For example: a workout logged manually in the Health app will not have GPS data. A run recorded with Apple Watch will typically have both, but only if the sensors were active during the workout.
The App exports whichever data is available — missing data types are simply omitted from the export file rather than causing an error.
No. Workout Lens processes everything on-device. No data is transmitted to SYLERO or any third party. The App contains no analytics, no advertising, and no crash reporting SDKs. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
When you tap Export and use the iOS Share Sheet, the destination you choose (e.g. ChatGPT, iCloud, email) is governed by that service's own privacy policy — not ours.
You can select and export as many workouts as you like in a single export. The default maximum number of workouts loaded into the list can be adjusted in Settings → Max. workouts to load.
Keep in mind that exporting a very large number of workouts with detailed GPS data can result in large file sizes.
Workout Lens is designed for iPhone only. iPad and Mac are not supported at this time.
Workout Lens is available in English, Dutch (Nederlands), Spanish (Español), and French (Français). The language is set automatically based on your iPhone's system language. You can also override it manually in Settings → Language.
Workout Lens stores no data of its own — all data lives in Apple Health. To remove health data, use the Apple Health app. To revoke the App's access to your health data, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Workout Lens and toggle off the permissions.
Deleting the App from your iPhone removes the App and any temporary export files it generated. It does not affect your Apple Health data.
