How can we help?

Quick setup, the most common questions, and how to reach us when something needs a real human.

01 — Getting started

Five minutes to your first plan.

Workout Lens reads what's already in Apple Health — no extra accounts, no setup elsewhere.

01 / Connect

Grant Apple Health access

On first launch, tap Connect Apple Health and select the data types to share. No data? Use the Try with demo data button to explore the app with realistic sample workouts instead.

02 / Configure

Set up your coach (optional)

Subscribe to AI Coach Pro and the wizard will ask four short questions — sport, goal, schedule and constraints — to generate your weekly plan with research-based session patterns.

03 / Use

Open the Coach tab

Your daily readiness, the recommended day type, and your weekly plan are waiting. Tap any pillar (Recovery / Pressure) for the breakdown, or open the chat to ask your coach anything.

04 / Export

Send to ChatGPT or Claude

Switch to the Workouts tab, tap Select, pick one or many workouts, and use the iOS Share Sheet to drop a structured CSV into any AI or analytics tool.

04 — FAQ

Frequently asked.

The app doesn't show my workouts. What's wrong?

The most common cause is a missing or partial HealthKit permission. Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Workout Lens and make sure the relevant categories are enabled. You can also check the status inside the App under Settings → Connection and tap Request access to re-prompt the dialog.

If you genuinely have no workouts in Apple Health yet, switch on Demo mode in the onboarding screen to explore the app with realistic sample data.

How do I set up the AI coach for the first time?

Open the Coach tab and tap Activate AI Coach Pro. After the App Store purchase, Workout Lens will start the one-time model download (~2 GB) over Wi-Fi. Once that finishes, you'll be guided through the goal wizard: pick your sport, your focus, your weekly schedule and any constraints. Then tap Save my plan to lock it in.

Why does my readiness score look low / blank?

Readiness combines sleep, HRV, resting heart rate, body temperature and recent training load. If your Apple Watch wasn't worn overnight, or if the wearable hasn't logged those metrics yet, the App shows a Limited data confidence label and lowers the score's weight. The number gets more accurate as you collect a few weeks of overnight data.

Some of my workouts have no GPS route or heart rate. Why?

GPS and heart rate are only exported if the source that recorded the workout captured them. A run logged manually has no GPS. A treadmill workout on Apple Watch usually has heart rate but no GPS. Workout Lens exports whatever data exists and simply omits the missing metrics rather than failing.

How do I edit a single day in my training plan?

Open Settings → Training plan (or tap the plan card in the Coach tab). On the detail page, tap any day in the weekly grid to change the session type. Overrides persist for every week until you reset them with Reset to default, which clears manual adjustments without touching your profile.

How do I set my name?

Open the Profile tab and tap your name at the top to edit it. Your name stays on your device and is used only so the AI coach can address you personally — it never leaves your iPhone, and the app does not read it from your Contacts. Leaving it blank is perfectly fine.

Why does the app ask for my weight and body composition?

The Health info page shows trend charts for metrics like weight, BMI, body fat and height. To draw those charts, Workout Lens reads the values you already have in Apple Health. Access is read-only and the data stays on your device. You can grant or revoke it any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Workout Lens.

How do I add or remove a tag?

On the Coach tab, tap the + button to open the day timeline and choose Add a tag — pick a type (caffeine, alcohol, stress, illness, …) and a date and time. To remove one, press and hold the tag in the timeline and confirm. Tags are stored locally and give the coach extra context.

How do I set my weekly activity goals?

Go to Profile → Activity goals → Edit. You can set five weekly targets — workouts, active energy, exercise minutes, distance and training duration — and the app tracks your progress against them straight from Apple Health.

Where do I find my sleep, recovery and pressure detail?

On the Coach tab, tap the Recovery or Pressure tile to open its detail page with trend charts and contributing factors. The sleep view shows a hypnogram with a full stage breakdown — Awake, REM, Light and Deep — including duration and percentage.

How do I manage or cancel my AI Coach Pro subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID. Open Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your iPhone, tap Workout Lens, then choose to change billing period or cancel. Cancelling stops future renewals — you keep access until the end of the current paid period.

You can also manage it directly from apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

I cancelled. What happens to my data and my plan?

Your plan, your wizard choices and your day overrides stay on your iPhone exactly as they were. When you resubscribe (or your billing period ends and renews), the coach picks up right where you left off. The locally-cached AI model also stays on disk — no re-download required when you come back.

Workout analysis, exports and the Apple Health integration remain free and fully functional regardless of subscription status.

How do I get a refund?

All purchases are processed by Apple, so refunds go through Apple as well. The fastest route is reportaproblem.apple.com — find the Workout Lens purchase and tap Request a refund. Apple decides on each refund case according to their App Store policy.

Does the app send my data anywhere?

No. Workout Lens processes everything on-device. No data is transmitted to SYLERO or any third party. The App contains no analytics, no advertising and no crash-reporting SDKs. See our Privacy Policy for the full detail.

When you tap Export and use the iOS Share Sheet, the destination you choose (e.g. ChatGPT, iCloud, email) is governed by that service's privacy policy — not ours.

How do I switch the language?

The App is available in English, Dutch, Spanish and French. By default it follows your iPhone's system language; you can override it inside the App via Settings → Personalisation → Language.

Can I use Workout Lens on iPad or Mac?

Workout Lens is designed for iPhone. iPad and Mac are not supported because HealthKit availability and the on-device AI runtime differ across platforms. We may revisit this in the future.

How do I delete the app and all its data?

Because there's no account and no server-side storage, deletion is instant. Long-press the Workout Lens icon on your iPhone, choose Delete App, and the App, your saved plan, your overrides and the on-device AI model are removed immediately.

Your Apple Health data is unaffected — it stays in the Health app where you or your wearables put it.

I think I found a bug. Where do I report it?

Send us a short note at hello@sylero.nl with the iPhone model and iOS version, the app version (visible in Settings → App version at the top of the Settings tab), and a description of what happened. Screenshots help. We reply within one business day.

05 — Still stuck?

Send a real human an email.

We answer within one business day, in any of the four app languages.
